I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 2010. I majored in Radio/TV/Film with a minor in Asian Studies. I have a TEFL certification. Most of my career has been in teaching English.
Experience
I have over 5 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I taught ESL for over three years in Thailand, South Korea and Japan. I've taught adults and children in both private and public schools. I've done video tutoring through websites like Cambly as well as language exchange websites. For the past several years, I have been researching and developing more effective, alternative methods for learning languages. I specialize in input-based learning using English print and electronic media. Throughout my travels, I have developed very effective methods for learning based on the study habits of polyglots. I've published my own web-based English curriculum on my website: EnglishFirstAid.net I want to be a tutor because I enjoy helping people succeed with their langauge and academic goals. I love talking to people from around the world and learning about students' culture and life in their home-countries.
